2009 Canadian silver coin struck in .9999 fine silver. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch at age 77. She is shown in right-facing profile, bare-headed, adorned with a necklace and earrings. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions ELIZABETH II, the denomination 5 DOLLARS, and the year 2009. The reverse showcases a detailed engraving of the iconic Canadian maple leaf, a national symbol of Canada. Inscriptions include CANADA across the top rim, 9999 on either side of the maple leaf denoting the coin's silver purity, and FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR along the lower edge, indicating the weight and purity in both English and French.
