2008 American Silver Eagle one-dollar coin struck in one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's historic "Walking Liberty" design, originally used on the half dollar from 1916 to 1947, depicting Lady Liberty striding toward the rising sun with the American flag draped around her and branches of laurel and oak in her left arm. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year "2008." The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, displays a heraldic eagle with a shield, grasping arrows and an olive branch, and a banner in its beak with the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Above the eagle are thirteen stars representing the original colonies. Additional inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER-ONE DOLLAR." This coin is graded MS 69 (Mint State 69) by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation), indicating a near-perfect strike with only minor imperfections not visible to the naked eye. Designated "Early Releases," confirming it was received by NGC within 30 days of its official release by the U.S. Mint. The coin is encapsulated in a tamper-evident NGC holder with label and barcode, preserving its condition and authenticity. Slab: 2.25"L x 0.5"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 39mm.
