One of the most recognizable bullion issues in the U.S. Mint's modern coinage, this 2008 American Silver Eagle is struck in one ounce of .999 fine silver and certified by NGC as MS69 with the "Early Releases" designation. The obverse, based on Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty design originally used on half dollars from 1916 to 1947, portrays Liberty striding toward the rising sun, draped in the Stars and Stripes with laurel and oak branches in hand. The reverse by John Mercanti features a heraldic eagle with shield and banner, clutching arrows and an olive branch, surrounded by stars and inscriptions. Housed in a graded NGC holder for further preservation and authentication. Slab measures: 2.25"L x 0.25"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 40.6 mm.
