<B>2001: A Space Odyssey (MGM, 1968).</B></I> Insert (14" X 36"). Stanley Kubrick's landmark epic of the future was based on Arthur C. Clarke's short story "The Sentinel." The film pushed the limits of special effects technology and was ahead of its time in its realistic look at space. This rolled insert has staple holes in the borders, wrinkling and bends, and foxing in the lower third of the poster. There is a number written in pencil in the lower right, and a two-inch tear on the upper border with archival tape on the back. This is a hard to find insert that shows the graphic designs from both styles of the one sheets, with artwork by Bob McCall.
