2000-P $1 Sacagawea Dollar--Struck on a Foreign Outer Ring--MS67 NGC. 3.8 grams. This piece is reminiscent of the U.S. Mint's 1852 holey patterns (Judd-135 to 148.) Apparently struck on the outer ring of a foreign bimetal planchet. The U.S. struck its only bimetallic coin in 2000, the Library of Congress ten dollar piece, but that issue had a gold outer ring, while this example appears to be nickel alloy. LIBERTY, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and ONE DOLLAR are complete, as are the mintmark and the final two digits of the date.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
