<B>2000-2001 Cal Ripken Game Used Bat</B></I> Ripken was well into iron man quest to break Lou Gehrig's record of consecutive games played but it would not be until 2005 that he would break the record. This black finish Louisville Slugger Model number P72 bat shows evidence of outstanding use. Ball marks are on the left side of the barrel and include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Also left is an impression of a weighted batting donut. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle.
