200-1300 A.D. Anasazi Tribe Seashell Bracelets
For your consideration are two ancient Anasazi seashell bracelets from the Anasazi Tribe in the Four Corners country of Southern Utah, Southwestern Colorado, Northwestern New Mexico, and Northern Arizona from about A.D. 200 to A.D. 1300. The Anasazi had trade routes that spanned the western part of Mesoamerica. They traded ancient turquoise for parrots, seashells and other trade items brought from Mexico and California by nomadic trade groups. The seashell bracelets show an all white color with spots of brown throughout. The seashells have been hand carved into large bracelets with one missing a small section making it incomplete. Overall the bracelets show good condition with only one missing a small section. The larger bracelet measures 3 5/8" in diameter and 1 3/16" width at the widest point. The smaller bracelet measures 3 3/8" in diameter and 1 1/16" wide at the widest point.
