Lazy Dog "bombs" were small, unguided kinetic missiles, each measuring 1.75 inches (44 mm) in length, 0.5 inches (13 mm) in diameter, and weighing 207 grains, about 0.47 ounces (13 g). LAZY DOG anti-personnel missiles were designed to spray enemy troops with small projectiles with three times the force of standard air-burst bombs. These two bombs were obtained from a bombardier who flew on a B-25 during World War II. They would have been thrown out the bomb bay on return trips after bombing runs over enemy forces. Their force would penetrate Nazi helmets.
