2 Texas U.C.V. Ribbon Badges by Whitehead & Hoag
Two Texas U.C.V. Ribbon Badges by Whitehead & Hoag. The United Confederate Veterans had branch "camps" or chapters all over the country including quite a few here in Texas. The first of the two fine items in this lot is a double-sided ribbon reading "In Memoriam U.C.V. Camp Hughes Camp, No. 365, Jacksboro, Texas" on the front ribbon, bright silver letters on a black 2.5" x 8" (including fringe) silk ribbon. The backside ribbon is silver on red "Camp Hughes Camp, No. 365, Jacksboro, Texas." These two ribbons are attached at the top to a celluloid badge showing hands clasped in friendship. On the back is a pin from the 28th Annual U.C.V. Reunion at Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1918 with interesting graphics featuring an Indian, an oil well, and a Confederate flag. The condition is very fine overall save for a couple of tears on the black ribbon. The back of this one has a large color copyright tag by Whitehead and Hoag.

The second item is a red, white, and blue ribbon, 1.625" x 4.25" in size with a pin badge at top with a hanging 1" celluloid disc picturing the Confederate flag inside a beaded frame. The ribbon reads "Reunion U.C.V. Lone Oak, Tex. July 13-14, 1905 in gold. Condition is very good with some fraying and tearing at the bottom. This one is also manufactured by Whitehead & Hoag.
