Two views from the Selfridge Expedition to find a route for a canal through Central America. The photographers were Timothy O'Sullivan and Thomas Moran. These are on large gold/beige mounts with "Tropical Scenery" imprints. "Orchi's Flower" is a careful close study. "Sensitive Plant" is a delirious stereoscopic trip into a layered pattern of leaves.
