A lot of two (2) Marriage Certificates 1880s and three (3) free black manuscripts, H: 22-31 cm, W:16-22 cm. The contents and their translations are as follows. The first four images rom Police headquarters speak of a "Free" black ("moreno" = brown) man (i.e., free from slavery) whose baptismal records are being requested of the Church, it is believed he was baptised in 1830/1831. The next four images, fromPolice headquarters, this manuscript talks about the "free" black man (free from slavery) Julian Hernandez whose cadaver was buried the last year and whose name cannot be found in any books of the Cemetary, showing his burial. The next four images show a wedding manuscript of 2 black people (rare to find of a black couple), the first page a certification and declaration of their "canonical wedding", and that is followed by their family history. The last manuscript is also of a wedding of a couple - "people of colour", note rare brown stamps on the page certifying the wedding of the couple, followed by their family history.
