1) Overall length 21". Blade length 14 5/8". The blade has an irregular hamon and a copper habaki with horizontal lineal decoration. The nakago has a single mekugi-ana with a 3 character signature on one side. Fine wooden shirasaya. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: a small 5" x 3 3/4" card, in Japanese, likely identifying the wakizashi. CONDITION: blade has a fine polish but does show some forging irregularities. Tang has some pitting that has been there for many years. Shirasaya shows light wear. 2) Overall length 23 1/4". Blade length: 15 3/4". Blade has an irregular hamon and a silvered habaki with diagonal lineal decorations and a cutout heart in the center. There is a single seppa below the tsuba. The tsuba is brass and the outer edge is formed by a dragon biting its own tail, The nakago has a single mekugi-ana with a 3 character signature on one side. Matching gold decorated fuchi and kashira with similar gold inlaid leaf menuki. White same with tan tsuka-ito. Wooden saya with black enameled finish showing green reflective flecks. The kogatana has similar gold inlays as the fuchi and kashira. Light tan sageo. CONDITION: blade has a fine polish with no obvious forging flaws. Tsuka shows overall light wear, but the tsuka-ito is moderately worn. Saya shows light wear. (02-24498-8/BF). $1,000-1,400.
