These beautiful little sauce dishes are made of overshot glass. This is a process where the gather of glass is rolled in small broken glass piece and then formed, or pressed, into the type object being made. This leaves the surface feeling rough with the look of crackle glass or the Tree of Life pattern. This bowl is in the shape of a leaf with the twig handle. The glass is the rough portion while the inside is smooth with the veins of the leaf. The edges have been smoothed by a stone wheel just like the making of cut glass. Each sauce dish is 1" deep, 5-1/4" long and 4-3/8" wide. There are no chips, flakes or cracks on these very nice antique sauce bowls. I am only showing one in the photos but they are identical.
