De Grazia signed and dated the inside page of De Grazia and his Mountain the Superstition.



When De Grazia began painting in Tucson, often, when he could not get the paints needed, he would go to the local hardware store and buy the tube paint used on automobiles. Both of these books are being sold for the daughter of the people who owned that hardware store. She is the great great niece of John Siddall (see information below).



In excellent condition!! Both still have their dust jackets. These books look like new with the exception of some wear to the dust jackets.



I am listing this book and a large collection of books by noted authors from the estate of John and Jean Siddall. Many of the books are author inscribed. John Siddall was the editor of "The American Magazine" in the mid to late 20's. A little information about John Siddall and "The American Magazine".



In June of 1906, muckraking journalists Ray Stannard Baker, Lincoln Steffens, and Ida M. Tarbell left "McClure's Magazine" to help create "American Magazine". Ray Stannard Baker contributed articles under the pseudynom David Grayson. Under John S. Phillips, who served as editor until 1915, the monthly magazine departed somewhat from the muckraking style ...
