This lot comprises two bottles of 2003 vintage Château Cheval Blanc from the Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux.

Saint Émilion is next to Pomerol one of the best-known appellations on the right river bank of the Gironde. Merlot is the predominant grape variety here. As in Graves, Saint Émilion has its own classification for the wines produced there, updated approximately every ten years; the last time being in 2012.

The 2003 vintage Château Cheval Blanc was awarded 89 points by American wine critic Robert Parker in 2006. In 2006, James Suckling scored it at 96. Swiss Bordeaux expert René Gabriel rated the wine 18 out of 20 points in 2013.

The fill levels are excellent (into neck). The labels and capsules are in perfect condition.
