2x 50p British Brexit 50p coin - Issued Jan 2020.
The Brexit 50p coin is a commemorative 50p coin that was struck to mark the planned exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union ("Brexit") on 31 October 2019. The minting of the Brexit coin was ordered by Sajid Javid.[1] A total of 10 million Brexit coins, each stamped with the date 31 October 2019, were planned to be minted. In late October 2019, with increasing doubts that Brexit would actually happen on that date, the minting of the coins was "paused".
In late October 2019 it was announced that the coins would be recycled as the UK would not leave the EU on 31 October 2019. A Treasury spokesman said that a coin to mark Brexit will still be produced but that it would enter circulation after the UK has left the EU.
The coin is inscribed with a quote from Thomas Jefferson, "Peace, prosperity and friendship with all nations". The lack of an Oxford Comma was criticised by some, including author Philip Pullman.

The winning bidder agrees to pay a buyers premium of 33% on the hammer price. Plus Icollector 3% commission to Kristen Leigh auctions limited.
1. Kristen Leighs auctions limited has endeavored to accurately describe all items being sold. All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults. There are no warranties or representations of merchant-ability of fitness, nor of any other kind, express or implied. All items are available for your examination prior to bidding by appointment only. Your bidding will signify that you have examined the items as fully as desired, or that you have chosen not to examine them. Kristen Leighs auctions limited shall have no responsibility for any error or omission. The absence of a condition statement, does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear, imperfections or aging. Any condition statement written or verbal is given as a courtesy to the client, and is only an opinion. It should not be treated as a statement of fact. Written and oral descriptions are statement of opinion and should in no way be construed as a guarantee of any kind as to age, condition, materials or any other feature of items being sold. Kristen Leighs auctions limited holds no responsibility as to authenticity or condition of items.
2. The auctioneer will be the final judge as to who is the succesful bidder. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer shall at his discretion decide whether or not to reopen the bidding. If an item is withdrawn from auction it will be offered again at the auctioneers discretion. Title to all merchandise shall pass to the succesful bidder at the fall of the auctioneers hammer. The purchaser shall assume full responsibility for the lot purchased once title has passed. All lots in the catalogue are subject to a reserve, of which the amount is confidental between Kristen Leighs auctions limited and the consigner. We reserve the right to bid up to the amount of reserve by placing successive or consecutive bids for a lot, or bid in response to other bidders.
POSTAGE:
The auction house has at any time the right to void the sale before any lots are shipped and will refund all monies paid within a reasonable amount of time normally within 2 weeks.
Invoices will be sent to the winning bidder within 5 days (for postage) of the close of the auction. And payment is due within 3 days of the invoice being sent.
REFUNDS.
If Kristen Leigh auctions limited, accepts a return of goods, then a refund will be processed minus Icollectors 3% commission, 2.5 percent Izettle's card providers charge, and minus postage that was paid for the items being sent to the customer. No refunds will be made for postage that the customer has had to pay. A refund will only be actioned on exceptional circumstances where we believe it is fair for a refund to be made, upon agreement from both parties. Questions are to be asked on provenance before bidding in our auction. Regarding provenance again any coa's given are of opinion only and may differ from authenticators.
SHIPPING.
A shipping quote is provided by Kristen Leighs auctions limited on invoices and automatically includes tracking, which can be tracked on your end to your address. Insurance isn't included and can be added at an extra cost by contacting us. Please note glass in frames isn't covered by insurance and can be replaced for perspex if need be.
4. In bidding on any lot offered, the bidder indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions. Title of each lot passes when the auctioneer or screen indicates sold. The bidder is responsible for knowing on which item he/she is bidding. If unsure the bidder should inquire or not bid. When becoming the winning bidder at auction, you have affected a contract and will be expected to pay for items in which you were evidenced to be the successful bidder.
All autographed lots (Excluding signed photos) over the value of £150 will include a third party certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is an opinion expressed by a company as to it being genuine. We welcome all bidders to do their own research before bidding, and to ask questions before bidding as the winner of a lot will enter into a legally binding contract to pay for the lot. As in condition of a lot, we give no opinions, and items are sold as seen.
