Two pages, 4.5” x 7”, on Sagamore Hill letterhead, Oyster Bay, New York, “<I>Tuesday</B></I>”, to a Miss Leupp. A charming letter in which Edith Roosevelt, second wife of Theodore Roosevelt, invites a young woman to Sagamore Hill for a visit. She writes in part: “<I>Mr. Roosevelt has promised to take this note and see if you can come to spend Thursday night with us. There are several afternoon trains and I hope you will cease pondering why the old find it difficult to compete with the young…</B></I>”. The Miss Leupp in question may be the daughter of Francis E.
