<B>The New Rupert Book and More Rupert Adventures First Editions.</B></I> <B><I>The New Rupert Book</B></I></B></I> (London: Daily Express Publications, 1938), first edition, 125 pages, red cloth spine with paper boards. The front cover depicts Rupert and his pals up a tree. First story is "Rupert and the Daffodils." In good condition, with some wear to the corners and edges. <BR><B><I>More Adventures of Rupert</B></I></B></I> (London: Daily Express Publications,1937), first edition, 123 pages, cloth-backed color-illustrated boards. Cover illustration shows Rupert fishing from a bridge with his friends. Bookplate is neatly filled out, but a scribble line runs down and across the page. Red and black strips throughout. A fair copy, with slight wear to the head and tail of the spine and corners. Restoration attempt to spine defects.<BR><B><I>More Rupert Adventures</B></I></B></I> (London: Daily Express Publications, 1943), first edition, 119 pages, War Economy Standard Production, therefore a more condensed, smaller, soft-bound text. Front cover shows Rupert releasing a butterfly. Book is good, with some spine wear, and the corner of page 2 has been neatly removed along the perforation and colored in pencil. The other color plate on page 119 is badly scribbled on. Restoration to a 1" triangle on the board affects corner of rear cover. Overall, these books are a very attractive addition to any collector of first edition children's books.
