The title emblazoned in gilt letters on the spine cover & within a faded gilt emblem on the front cover. The full title of this text reads: "History of Hocking Valley, Ohio, Together with Sketches of its Cities, Villages & Townships, Educational, Religious, Civil, Military, & Political History, Portraits of Prominent Persons, & Biographies of Representative Citizens."
