19th century spear point handmade Bowie knife with 10” simple made steel blade with Marine ivory carved grip inlaid with brass pins and hand hammered brass scabbard with pewter tip. The blade is in good condition showing some normal agingand a slight loss to the point. The walrus ivory grip shows cracks and normal aging and is carved with the fingers folded and some in particular position that may be a lodge sign. From a Southern collector who felt it was Confederate naval usedin the Civil War but no documentation or reference to that effect. Est.: $1400-$2800
