19th century small pack cannon marked in hand held stamps Groenke & Son, Chehalis, Wash. The tube measures approximately 14 ½” in length and the bore is almost 2” across. The tube shows light to slightly heavy scattered pitting and erosion and a good patina with a coating of rust. A small iron block is included with the Canon which it could rest upon and could be attached to a wood pack saddle with rope ties. Also it could be tied to the mount and shot. Just the type of small cannon that an early trader may have used for defending a trading post or his person. Est.: $800-$1,600.
