19th-century oil painting on canvas showing Naval battle scene between British warship and French opponents. The painting measures 19 1/2” x 29” and is in an antique vintage frame. The canvas shows significant restoration long ago and has been laid down on board. The right quadrant has been extensively repaired and the canvas has been reduced somewhat. The quality of the painting is excellent and it is our belief that the signature was lost when restored and reframed. This is a Masters quality work in our opinion. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
