19th century dueling style rapier with simple turned grip and copper wire wrap, rounded pommel, probably American. The sword measures 40-1/2” overall with 33-1/4” blade. The blade is triangular in shape and measures 5/8” across the widest part of the ricasso and tapers to a point with a raised medium ride for piercing. The guard is simple constructed iron in oval shape with a velvet over cotton pad which is fragmentary. The overall condition is good with a dark patina. The wood grip shows some carry and use. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
