19th century carved powder horn shows 3 masted sailing ship, sun, harp, man & lady, house, moon, stars, clasped hands with slogan, "Ireland Forever" with initials W.S. The horn shows some wear and slight surface damage but fair to good overall. The carving is well done and the original wood base shows a patina. The stopper is missing from the nicely faceted spout. We would date the horn 1800-1840 from style of ship, dress and general motif of carvings which have a nice "folksy" appeal. Est. $750-$1,500
