Handsome rectangular and curvilinear silver open salt
cellar. The shallow bowl features an elaborate rope decoration around a
deep rim. A short tapered pedestal rises from a decorative ribbed base.
An elaborate GH monogram appears on the underside of the bowl.
Hallmarks for Vienna before 1886, .813 silver purity, and silversmith's
initials AR also appear on the underside of the bowl. The initials AJ
in script appear on the underside of the rim.
Size: 1.25" x 2.75" (3cm x 7cm) base, 3" x 3.75" (7.6cm x 9.5cm) top
