Finely cast as a multi-headed and multi-armed Buddhist deity; standing in "samapada" atop a double lotus throne and plinth base, his primary hands in "namaskara mudra", holding the magic wish granting gem, his lower right hand in "varada mudra", four of his remaining hands holding "kalasa", "capa", "mala", and "padma", the other arms radiating around him symbolizing the thousand arms; depicting with eleven heads, arranged in five levels with the head of Amitabha on top; double dorje mark on the base; fire gilding of the period, partly dark patina; Qing Dynasty, 19th century; H 30.5 cm; Provenance: Chan Collection Toronto
