Featured in this lot we have a wonderful set of early Vaquero spurs showing a double-mounted silver and heavy iron construction and originating from the late 1800's. These spurs display wonderful eight point silver sided rowels, ornate silver double-mounting, and tooled leather straps originating from the 1950's. The spurs originate from the 19th Century to early 20th Century and are truly a wonderful representation of early Mexican Vaquero Cowboy spurs. The shank shows a figure-eight coiled rattle snake design with double-mounted etched silver holding the eight-point beveled rowels. Each side of the spur shows a double-silver mounted Chevron design with arrow like parallel lines. The spurs show good condition overall with more modern straps and a warp patina across most of the silver. The spurs themselves measure 6" long by 3 5/8" wide with a 2 3/4" rowel.
