Elegant yet understated 1870s Mexican officer’s saddle with classic period exposed rawhide covered tree, quilted seat, high horn with ornamental silver figural repousse ornaments, bulldog tapaderos, plus intricate silver threaded interwoven designs embroidered on the skirts, fenders and saddlebags. The saddle and rigging are mounted with a variety of traditional period coin silver conchos in varying sizes while the cantle and gullet are trimmed in silver.
