19th Century Butte, MT Train Station Bench
For your consideration is this original 19th Century Butte, Montana train station bench. The bench came out of the Butte, Anaconda, and Pacific (BA&P) depot which once stood on Utah Street in Butte, now demolished. The BA&P was a short line railroad founded in 1892 by the Anaconda Copper Mining Company. The railroad operated primarily to carry copper ore from the Butte Mines to the Anaconda Smelters; the line also carried general freight and passengers. The railroad was sold in 1985 and the Butte depot was demolished. The all wood construction bench features steamed shaped arm rests. The bech is in good overall condition with no broken wood. Measuring 32" H x 96" W x 24" D.
