<td width="100%">
This interesting figural creamer featuring a fish, possibly a carp, is likely Asian. I am not sure of the age but I would think it is 19th century. It is painted under the glaze blue and over the glaze with gold accents. The bottom of the creamer is not glazed. There are no marks on the creamer. It is made of porcelain and has no repairs or alterations. It does have chips around the mouth and the majority of any gilt work has worn away. There are remaining traces of gold around the eyes and on the gills. Lastly, there are orange/red spots, presumably from iron, on the interior crevices, chipped areas along the mouth and under the glaze (most noticeably on the front white part).
