19th CENTURY PLAINS INDIAN BOW WITH TWO ARROWS - IDENTIFIED TO JOSEPH CRAZY HORSE, SON OF CRAZY HORSE. Slightly incurved with a twisted sinew drawstring. Faded black paint decoration. Each end is reinforced with sinew and horsehair wrapping and ends are notched for better drawstring retention. Four-line inscription on inside of the bow reads “Joseph Crazy Horse/Son of Chief Crazy Horse/Of the Sioux Tribe/White Ash of the Black Hills”. Accompanied by two arrows, one of which retains an old dbl-barbed point attached with sinew. SIZE: Approx. length of bow is 4’. Approx. length of arrows is 2’. CONDITION: Good overall.
