19th C. Germain Le Creusot Oak Ornate Wall Clock
This is an original 19th Century Germain Le Creusot wall clock with fantastic quarter sawn oak case. The case shows spoon and hand carved features as well as leaded beveled glass, curved glass front and beautiful Germain Le Creusot marked face. The clock is thought to be from the 19th Century but could be early 1900's. The case shows a crown molding with hand spoon like carved features along with spindel rows going down to the curved glass face opening and leaded beveled glass door which shows carved moldings and beautifully carved pillars. The bottom shows a tiered base with turned spindel adornments (one of which is damaged and repaired). The original movement is present and shows the original key along with the brass pendulum bob and oak pendulum rod. The piece shows some wear from age, some trim separation, screw split on rear, and small repairs, but overall is well preserved and displays well. Truly an excellent clock from a local Montana clock collection. Measures overall 36"H by 15 3/8"W by 9"D. There are over 50 images of the clock on our website directly for a representation of condition.
