I am very pleased to offer this absolutely stunning figure featuring two spider monkeys grooming each other. Done in a very rich dark grey to subtle brown tones glaze with a high gloss finish, the artisanship is superb. Measuring 7" high by 6" wide and 6" long this figurine is in EXTRA FINE condition. The subjects are done with the finest details and the coloring makes this piece breathtaking. As good as they look in my images it is much more spectacular in person. The eyes were painted in a lovely Sienna Brown to Gold and look life like. Marked on the base with the Makers Mark on the unglazed base, it shows: Green "G" with a "P" inside the "G". There is an impressed number 5222 as well as a Black "GERMANY" marked on the underside rim of the longest tail. The Maker's Mark denotes Pfeffer, Fr. Gotha Porcelain Factory circa 1892.
