<td width="100%">
19th C Antique Brass Verdigris Openwork Figural Table/Vanity/Wall Mirror, depicting Bacchus, Roman god of wine and intoxication, at the head. Adorned with great beaded corner leaves and grape clusters, scrolls and fans. One small break in the openwork at bottom of frame, not easily detected. Gorgeous verdigris and patina. Heavy brass openwork frame with brass plate backing, missing 2 mid-section screws, and supporting easel--makeshift wire hanging loop in its stead. A good bit of original silvering loss to the original beveled mirror (probably 10%-15% loss of silver), as can be detected in the pictures. An amusing old newspaper clipping and other papers found tucked behind the backing, and may help determine a more accurate date. Mirror frame measures 14.5" high by 8" wide by .5" deep (no back easel). Buyer pays $15.00 flat shipping in continental U.S.
