Beautiful pierced openwork sterling silver lifter for tomatoes or crudites. Made in Holland. Late 19th century or early 20th century. <P><P> Measures 5 5/8" long; bowl is 3 1/2" long and weighs just under 2oz. <P> Large oval curved lifter made of very fine openwork sterling silver in the form of scrolling ferns, leaves and flowers. The handle is bordered by scrolling ferns that echo the bowl, surrounding delicate flowers. Beautiful, very fine work and detail. <P> Back in engraved 925 for Sterling Silver standard. <P> Condition is excellent with no dents or scratches. <P><P> Ask about the "little brother" - almost identical but smaller lifter.
