Set of Sterling silver meat / fish servers. Made France after 1838.
Knife is a little over 11 inches.
Handles are sterling silver, rounded with a good, solid feel. The surface is beautifully decorated with crysanthemums, foliage and flowing ribbons. Very interesting ends with a small round globe in an indentation. Hallmarks on both handles show a head in profile facing right (used 1838 onwards) and the makers mark is a D or B in a lozenge. Beautiful workmanship of the highest order. A small section of the seam on the side of the knife needs to be tightened.
Elaborately shaped and curved silver plated blade of knife and tynes of fork - ridged like a pitchfork. Engraved with foliage and flowers.
