U.S. Model 1795 Springfield Type III Musket dated 1810 with early style wrist and comb (See Flayderman 9A-008). .69 caliber with a 44 ½” barrel and all features as standard on this model. Lock markings are good with ½ to ¾ visible eagle. Original flintlock with correct small parts. Good to very good overall condition with some minor pitting and dried oil and slight rust that would clean easily. The stock is good plus with minor aging and imperfections. Correct style ramrod. Working lock. No visible inspections on wood. Well proofed and inspected barrel mentioned in 1952 article about Dr. Cairns collection which a copy is included. (Antique) Est.: $900-$1800
