Colt Root Model 1 .28 caliber percussion revolver, S/N 68 in original case with accessories. This 1st Model Root shows full octagon loading lever and earliest style stamped address. The condition is very good with 20%-40% original thinning blue and most original light scene remaining. The grips show 80%-90% original lacquer with slight losses of finish at the edges but at least very good plus overall. Works well with pleasant overall appearance. All serial numbers match. The case is very good plus with normal aging and minor imperfections. The lining and partitions are authentic to the period. A very good plus to almost fine eagle flask (Two Sided) with 80%-90% lacquer is included. Also included is correct bow legged .28 caliber mold, fine L shaped screwdriver, cap tin and key.
