<B>1999-W G$5 Tenth-Ounce Gold Eagle--Struck With Unfinished Proof Dies--MS69 PCGS.</B></I> The mintmarked obverse dies for gold American Eagles of this year were intended only for proofs, but for an unknown reason, a number of uncirculated-finish tenth-ounce pieces were struck using mintmarked dies that lacked a mirror finish.
