Up for your consideration is this beautiful 1999 PCGS "Certified" Heat damaged World Trade Center Recovery $5 Canadian Maple with the RCM Privy Mark.

PCGS only certified a total of 20 of these historical beauties back in 2002.

These 1999 $5 WTC "Certified" Heat damaged/warped Maples are rarely offered and are one of the most sought after WTC recovered coins by collectors worldwide.

This coin has clear warping due to heat as a direct result of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 that can be clearly seen with a naked eye.

The 1999's are the only ones that were heat damaged/warped gold coins recovered from the World Trade Center.

There were also 20 "Heat Toned" 2001 American Silver Eagles that were heat damaged but being that 24k gold melts at lower temps than silver these coins have a distinctive warp that the silver coins do not.

We are also offering a 2001 "Heat Toned Monster" silver eagle in lot #58.

The few examples that have traded hands have been sold for about $3500 each on average.

The last known single example of this coin sold at auction for $4200 (Jan.12')

Last known 6 coin lot (3 heat damaged/toned 01' silver eagles)&(3 heat damaged/warped 99' Maples) $18,250 (Oct.11')
