1999-P 25C Georgia Quarter--Struck on an Experimental Planchet--MS67 PCGS. There are four separate categories of these planchets. The four types are covered in the November 26, 2001 issue of Coin World. This coin appears to be a Type Two, with the color of a Sacagawea dollar but no copper core. On the rim below the DO of DOLLAR is crumbling that is deep enough to expose the underlying core of what appears to be nickel. All four types are heavier and thicker than a normal quarter, and all have raised and rough rims. A Superb example of this interesting and presumably rare 1999 experimental striking.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information\)
