A striking example of modern U.S. coinage, this 1998 American Silver Eagle has been graded Mint State 69 by NGC. The obverse carries Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty design with Liberty advancing toward the rising sun holding laurel and oak. On the reverse, John Mercanti's heraldic eagle stands behind a shield with arrows and olive branch, framed by stars. Each coin in the series is struck in 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, making it both a bullion investment and a popular collectible. This piece is securely preserved in its NGC holder.
