1996<1C> Lincoln Cent--Struck on a Foreign Planchet--MS64 Red PCGS. 20 grains. Excluding an Iceland commemorative, the U.S. Mint last struck coins for foreign countries in 1984. However, cent planchets were supplied by outside vendors, and these vendors presumably had planchet supply contracts with other nations. This piece has a copper appearance with no trace of a zinc interior. Lustrous and full Red with a soft strike on portions of the devices. The 6 in the date, IN GOD WE TRUST, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA are partly absent on this undersized piece.
