1995 Curtis Martin Game Worn Rookie Jersey. Curtis Martin has quietly become one of the NFL's all time great backs, but after an injury plagued career at Pitt, it was linebacker guru Parcells who plucked him from the draft heap's third round after such running back phenoms like Ki-Jana Carter, William Henderson, Sherman Williams, Napoleon McCallum, Terrell Fletcher and Tyrone Wheatley were long gone. During that rookie season, Martin responded with 1,487 yards and fifteen touchdowns, and 12,000 yards later, he's a lock for the Hall. This representation harkens back to the 1995 season when Parcells and the Pats took the field with the league's grandest and most creative uniforms. Embedded pinstriping on the mesh main body became the rage, dazzle cloth shoulder yokes and sleeves became the modern day durene, and the Elvis logos grew to thirteen inches in length in their new sewn on state. The numerals became oversized drop shadow with slant, and the name on back became the NFL's first with italicized font. While the style would last for more than five seasons, 1995 was the start and it was Martin's rookie season. Made by "Starter," it sports the manufacturer's NFL authentic tail label with a size "48" flap tag. The Starter logos were sewn beneath the sleeve numerals and stayed in that location until the 1996 Super Bowl when the league forced the club to relocate them to the shoulder seam for greater exposure. This jersey shows solid season long running back wear with four repairs, numerous dings to the shoulder logos, sleeve degradation and one line of blue turf paint still clinging to the back numeral "2." The neckline has lost its elasticity, the sleeve cuffs less so. The numeral wear is outstanding also. Overall, one great rookie representation of not only an outstanding running back, but a class act as well. LOA from Lou Lampson.

Shipping: Clothing, Costumes & Jerseys (view shipping information)
