We attempt to take as deatiled an Image as possible of both the Obverse and Reverse of all coins and currency, While we try and accurately grade each coin, as coin grading is subjective, we encourage you to asses the pictures yourself and make a grading judgement yourself. We always 100% guarantee authenticity, but we do not guarantee any specific grade, nor do we guarantee that NGC or PCGS or any other grading company will agree to grade the coin. We strive for your repeat business and do everything we can to accurately photograph and describe the coin/currency.
The 1992 Olympic Silver Dollar was issued along with separate gold and Half Dollar coins for the 1992 Olympic Games. The commemorative coin issues were used to raise money to train American athletes. As a side note, when the commemorative was released there was a bit of controversy as the image on the Obverse bears a striking resemblance to the Fleer baseball card depicting Nolan Ryan. In fact it is virtually identical. The mint has always claimed that the design which was selected from 1,107 entries, by regular citizens, was a composite of a generic ballplayer drawn by freelance illustrator John R. Deecken. That being said, It's Nolan Ryan. This example has been graded ms70 by USCG. PCGS lists an ms70 at $750. Estimated Value $250
