<B>1991-92 San Jose Sharks Team Signed Stick.</B></I> Sports executives George and Gordon Gund had ownership of the Minnesota North Stars throughout the late 1970s and 1980s and sought to move the team to the Bay Area. While the powers that be in the league office did not allow this move, the Gunds were awarded an expansion team that would begin play for the 1991-92 season in exchange for selling the North Stars to Howard Baldwin. The expansion team in question was the San Jose Sharks, the league's first expansion team since '79. Here we present a Sher-Wood stick that has been signed by members of the team in perfect black sharpie. Includes entries from such first-year Sharks as Pat Falloon, Brian Lawton, Pat MacLeod, Neil Wilkinson, David Williams, Paul Fenton, Mike Sullivan, and Claudio Scremin. Stick was used on-ice by Scremin, who logged a total of 13 games with the Sharks that season.
