<B>1990's Golf Legends Signed Golf Balls, Letters Collection.</B></I> Sticklers for strong provenance will love this assortment of autographs from the links' finest, as documentation comes "straight from the horse's mouth," so to speak. A quartet of golf balls signed by Ben Hogan (two rate 8/10, the others 3/10) are joined by a typed letter, signed "Ben," that reads in part, "I have returned the golf balls to you. THe balls are so hard to write on that I am afraid that I didn't do a very good job..." A pair of signed balls from Byron Nelson (5/10 and 7/10) are likewise joined by a typed letter (signed "Byron") to the same collector, though here the signed balls are not directly addressed. A second handwritten note (also signed "Byron") thanks the collector for a gift, and notes that "I sent the other material to Hogan." We assume he is referring in part to an 8x10" photo presented here, signed in 9+/10 black ink by each of them. Finally, we have a pair of golf balls signed by Charlie Yates (both 9/10). <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.
