1946-99 Boston Garden Basketball Court Section. Celtics green and white paint on this large section of parquet flooring will instantly recall the many legends, from Cousy and Russell to Bird and McHale, whose huge sneakers once tread upon it before the landmark sports arena fell to the wrecking ball in 1999. Unbelievably, the same parquet floor, with its famous "dead spots" that bedeviled visiting dribblers, was used for over half a century, and an included New York Times newspaper clipping announcing the sale of the floor attests. While Boston Garden floor pieces are not particularly uncommon in the hobby, typically these pieces are pocket-sized. Almost never do you find such a sizable portion as we present here, measuring an impressive 17x36". This prime real estate would make a fantastic home for autographs, or could be sawed into dozens of smaller pieces to be sold at one hundred dollars a pop. Acquired directly from the sale of Garden artifacts that preceded the demolition.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Larg (view shipping information)
