For you consideration in this lot we have a pair of special edition firearm books for the Firearm Classic Library titled "The Gun and its Developments" and "The Bullets In Flight" originating from the 1990's. The The books where privately printed for The Firearms Classic Library and published by Palladium Press and for The National Rifle Association by Odysseus Editions, Inc. Each of the pieces show leather covers with gilt gold designs and lettering. The first book "The Gun and its Developments" by W. W. Greener and details the history of the gun from its early years as a artillery piece to the repeating rifles in the early 1900's. The second special edition is "The Bullets Flight" by F. W. Mann. Mann is regarded as the father of modern ballistics due to his work and experiments with bullet flight paths as detailed in this volume. Both of the books show black and white illustrations and diagrams of the firearms as well as a few photos. The books show good condition overall. The first piece measures 8 3/4" tall by 6 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" thick with the second book measuring 9 1/2" tall by 6 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" thick.
