1987 American Silver Eagle one-dollar coin, struck in the second year of the U.S. Mint's celebrated bullion series and certified by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation with a Mint State 69 grade. Fabricated from one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. The obverse bears the Walking Liberty, depicted in forward motion beneath a rising sun, her right arm extended in welcome and her left arm clasping boughs of oak and laurel; an allegory of civic and military resolve. The reverse, a proud emblem of American heraldry by John Mercanti, features a stately eagle with shield, wings spread, clutching both olive branch and arrows, and encircled by inscriptions affirming denomination, weight, and fineness. Encapsulated in a graded NGC slab for further preservation and authentication. Slab measures: 2.25"L x 0.25"W x 3.25"H. Coin diameter: 40.6 mm.
